Assessment Plan

Purpose:  The assessment will measure the participant's comprehension of the Five Functions of Management Model and their ability to apply these concepts to the work environment.

Outcome:  Participants will explain the Five Functions of Management and how the concepts apply to the work environment.

Assessment Context:  The students will be asked to relate the Five Function of Management model to a hypothetical work environment.

Assessment Question Used:  Using the information learned during the Five Functions of Management workshop, explain each of the five functions and how they are important to organizations (Yu, 2010).  Use the hypothetical scenario of XYZ Corporation to provide a minimum of two (2) examples of how each function may be applied.  Your explanation should be one to two pages in length. You may use your notes and other written resources.  Be sure to cite any resources you use.

Testing Constraints: 
o    Time:  The assessment should be completed in one (1) hour.
o    Reference Material:  The learner may use notes and other written resources.
o    Other People:  The learner may consult with peers to complete the
    assessment.
