Rational
Learning outcomes were used as the foundation for creating the
test and essay items. These objectives,
created last week, are measurable goals.
The test and essay items were created to evaluate the learning outcomes (Kubiszyn & Borich, 2010).
Each test and essay item included wording directly related to one or
more of these objectives. The lesson
goals and activities require higher level cognitive processes (Kubiszyn & Borich, 2010).
Therefore, it is fitting to measure the outcomes using short response
and essay items.
Every learning outcome was addressed in one or more of the test or
essay items; however the lesson activities will include performance based
activities which will further assess the lesson goals (Kubiszyn & Borich, 2010).
These activities will include the creation of a group based project
which demonstrates that the learning objectives were met.
